Nails

Hiiiii so i recently decided to paint my nails but couldn't decide which colour so instead i decided to do a multi coloured rainbow vibe! I like how they seem really light and vibrant for spring/summer!

So here's my left hand

 And here's my right

I used a variety of nail polishes i've collected over the years and ones i got for christmas/birthdays etc so i'm not sure where i got each and how much they were but i've taken pics and matches can be made either way. 

 As you can tell i then went over the top with glitter and this one i remember where i got it; Topshop! Love their nail polishes especially the glitter effect

I aploigise for the bad quality pictures but they were taken on my iPhone and i'm not the best photographer woops!

Anyway i realise this is a bit of a pointless post but i thought i'd share anyway

Wish List

Okay so sorry for the complete lack of posts!! I'm such a fail sorrrrry! But since i haven't posted in a while i thought i'd do a kind of  'wish list' of things i'm hoping to buy! I'm shopping loads in River Island recently so this'll be all RI items. So here goes 

Firstly i love these denim shorts from River Island! I love the retro feel to them and like the mix of dark and light on them making them easier to work with! I'm not even going to lie i'd buy them even if they were horrible purely for the belt! I absolutely love the belt!!! I don't know exactly why i just think it would look really good tucked into a black top with gold shoes (possible outift?) and of course tights!

Next i really like this black pinafore. I just think its a really simple piece but really cute! I think it'd be a good piece to accesorize and could do some really great things with it to make it more formal and more casual. I'm definitely hoping to buy this or get something similar! Also kind of dungarees'y (not even a word) which are coming back in this summer so right on trend!

So i'm totally in need of a new jacket and i recently saw this one and fell in love. I like the quilted look and its quite edgy with the gold chains. I've had leather jackets previously but never had a good proper one so i can hopefully treat myself to this as it is quite expensive but i definitely think it'd be worth it and totally rock up some looks!

I'm really into acid wash right now (don't know why) so i'm really liking these acid wash leggings! I love the blue denim colour and the high waisted-ness of them as it makes you look skinnier (need all the help i can get) and they also look like they'd be comfy too as well as flattering! If you're not so keen on the blue they also have dark grey and kaki which i also really like! Also only £16!!! Complete steal!

Okay so finally i saw this little sequined top and thought it was just really cute and light for spring/summer coming in! I'm not usually so keen on being all girly with glitter and pink outifits but i think some good looks could be made with this top! Either going out clubbing/to party or just shopping! I'm not sure if it'd be scratchy and irritating on your arms as i've never tried it on but i suppose you could always try before you buy!

OOTD - 25/2/2013

So i thought i'd do a bit of an ootd post.  I wasn't going anywhere fancy, just to Nandos for a lunch date catch up with a friend.  This is my first ootd post so here goes.. 

 Firstly a mirror shot for full view of my outfit.  (ignore how fat i look)  So this is the full outfit of a galaxy pink and purple top, denim like skater skirt, grey tights and nike blazers. 

So this is a better shot of the top and the tucking in of the top to the skirt.  I just feel it looks better tucked in rather than just hanging loosely (just me?) The top has a horse on the right side (of the pic) but you can't see it too clearly in this..sorry about that! 

Next up is the beloved blazers, I paired them with grey tights which I newly bought, just fancied a change from black..no real reason.  So I just felt the blazers would give the outfit a more casual, down feel as I said it was only Nando's. 

Also I took some shots of the jewlerry I wore.  I love my pink Shambala (think its that haha) bracelet! I also have a silver and a purple one but I thought this one would tie in nicely with my blazers. I was sporting a 'J' earring for Jemma :) and a little star on my cartilidge.  I understand the stud on my tragus is quite ugly but I only got it pierced 7 weeks or so ago and i'm hopefully going to get a nice one soon! 

Finally, my bag.  I love this bag as the multi-colourness goes with everything! It looks similar to a satchel but its not really haha, it also has a longer strap which I just drape over my shoulder but it also has the little clutch to just be carried - versatile!

New Sneaks

So i totally jumped on the bandwagon and bought myself a pair of Nike Blazers!  Can't resist anything! 

I was out shopping with my mum on Saturday and never planned to buy anything except some tights and new nail polish but then i passed Schuh and they really caught my eye!  I had been contemplating buying them for ages but never did then i gave in on Saturday (even though i should really be saving)!! I wasn't sure what colour to get between sky blue and deep pink but they never had the blue in my size so wound up going for the pink. 

Sorry for the not so great pictures they were taken quickly on my iPhone!

They were £70 but i love them so much!! I really like them cos even though they're pink they go with a good few outifts i own, even ones that aren't pink-centred!  I think thats the great thing about this shoe is that the colour doesn't have to match your outfit perfectly - COLOUR BLOCK! :) That's what i'll be doing anyway haha.

Anyway i thought i'd just let you all know about my newest purchase and inspire some of you to invest in a pair (let me know if you do/already have them)

Grammy faveeeee

Hi! This is my first kind of post with a meaning! So since the Grammys took place a few days ago i thought i'd let you know my favourite of the night! 

Its.....Rihanna! 

For a long time i've not liked really anything she's worn  but i thought she looked STUNNING at the Grammys! Her dress was beautiful as was her hair and makeup. 

I loved the way the dress flowed and made her appear like she was floating. The train at the back was a perfect length and the wrap at the top gave it a sophisticated look but still make her look hot!!!  I felt for a while she was dressing really outrageously but i definitely think she redeemed herself in this! 

Her hair was styled perfectly too as it did't ruin the top of the dress and sat just above the wrap which was the real part of it.  I didn't distract from the dress.  She also wore minimum jewellery which didn't make her outfit look too 'busy' with too much going on.  

I also loved her makeup as the red lips create a real statement and don't clash with the dress, she also used a very minimal eye look which was a great decision as i think you should have either your lips or eyes as the focus of the makeup, never both!! and she did it excellently. 

Sooooo thats what i think about Rihannas outift and definitely think she looked the best at the Grammys! Hopefully this was okay and if not, i'll get better :) haha
